Seven-year-old child killed by truck

A dramatic accident occurred on Wednesday in Sankt Gallen in Switzerland, just over the border from Vorarlberg. A seven-year-old boy was hit by a truck there. The child did not survive the collision. 

The momentous accident took place shortly before 12 noon on Wednesday in Sankt Gallen. A 56-year-old driver was driving his truck there when he collided with a seven-year-old boy for reasons as yet unexplained.

The child was seriously injured in the accident. After the boy was taken to hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. 

The tragic incident is now being investigated by the Sankt Gallen municipal police - at the request of the public prosecutor's office.
