Top scorer Owre voted most valuable player

Steven Owre of the Pioneers Vorarlberg has been voted the most valuable player ("MVP") of the ICE Hockey League's basic round. The 27-year-old forward scored a league-best 31 goals and added 31 assists in his ICE debut season.

Owre was awarded 62 points by specialist journalists and won ahead of KAC player Sebastian Dahm (44) and John Hughes from VSV (18). This is the first time that the "Ron Kennedy Trophy" has gone to a player from a Vorarlberg team.

Honored against HC Innsbruck
Owre will be honored on Tuesday during the pre-play-off series (best-of-3) against HC Innsbruck in Feldkirch. The Pioneers finished the basic round in tenth place and now have a 1-0 lead against Innsbruck.
