Criticism of climate stickers
Kogler: “You must not annoy the population”
In an interview on krone.tv, Vice-Chancellor Werner Kogler commented on many topics and lashed out at the FPÖ in particular.
"It's still not exactly clear what this Russian friendship treaty is all about. Hence my statement about blue Putin friends. If there is a government with the FPÖ, then we will have an Orbanistan and an economic decline," said the Vice Chancellor.
With regard to the gas supply, Kogler was very critical of previous governments that concluded a contract until 2040: "The contract was concluded after 2014, when we already knew what an evil dictator Putin is. I consider what happened there to be an economic crime. It's a red carpet with a trail of slime. We should not finance this bestial gang of murderers. So get out of Russian gas." There is also a way to get out of the long-term agreement, he said, you just have to want to.
He could not understand the activities of the climate campaigners: "It is perhaps well-intentioned in the matter, but clumsily implemented. In a democracy, you have to find majorities and not annoy majorities." Kogler quotes the Green EU lead candidate Lena Schilling, who said: "You can't go up the asses of commuters in the morning when they go to work". He also has another example of bad practice: "It's also nonsense when people dump paintings in museums. Because at some point the van Gogh painting doesn't need any more soup. Because the van Gogh painting poses no threat to the climate."
There was also a lively discussion on the topic of car engines, e-fuels as a fuel and the "German finance minister in disguise".
