The popular kitchen assistant Mariya has an apartment and a job in Kremsmünster (Upper Austria), but will soon have to leave the country despite a shortage of staff in the catering industry. Her colleagues are therefore threatened with overtime and her boss is stunned. In any case, there's no legal argument.

"I don't understand why there is no solution," says landlady Stefanie Postl (28). In a few weeks' time, she will lose a popular member of staff from her Hüthmayr pub in Kremsmünster, which is already plagued by staffing problems.
