Child died of cancer: parents face prison sentence

Weight loss of 20 kilograms, tumors, difficulty swallowing, shortness of breath, paralysis - what Valerie (name changed) had to go through in the last months of her life sounds terrible. And the accusation made by the public prosecutor's office in Klagenfurt against the parents of the schoolgirl who died at the age of 14 is just as terrible!

In late autumn 2022, a tumor was discovered in Valerie's foot - a few months later, in February 2023, the child was admitted to hospital, where the doctors could do nothing more for the schoolgirl. Valerie dies. The doctors press charges. Now, a year later, the investigation in Carinthia is complete. An expert opinion incriminates the girl's parents - now the trial begins against the mother and father, who are said to have withheld potentially life-saving therapy from their daughter.
