46-year-old dies in collision with truck in Lower Austria

A serious traffic accident occurred in Groß Gerungs (Lower Austria) on Tuesday night. A 46-year-old woman driving a car lost her life.

The local woman drove her car onto the oncoming lane on the B38 shortly before 1 a.m. and, according to the police, collided head-on with a 52-year-old truck.

Woman died on the spot
The woman was freed from the car by members of the fire department, but succumbed to her serious injuries on the spot. The truck driver from the Upper Austrian district of Braunau am Inn suffered injuries and received medical treatment.
