Paedophile hoarded almost 700 child porn files

Five trials for the possession of child pornography are taking place this week at Salzburg Provincial Court. The accused procured relevant images on the internet

Five men aged between 26 and 67 are on trial this week at Salzburg Provincial Court. The accusation in the five separate trials is always the same: All five defendants are alleged to have downloaded child pornographic images from the internet and stored them on their computers.

One Austrian received a three-month conditional prison sentence on Monday. The sentence is not yet final. According to the indictment, he possessed a total of 45 relevant images. A man from Pongau - who is due in court on Tuesday - is said to have hoarded as many as 700 such files on his PC.

30-year-old abused his three-year-old son
A particularly drastic case will be heard on Wednesday: A 30-year-old man is not only alleged to have been on child porn sites on the internet several times - but also to have had sex with his three-year-old son. The man had already confessed fully in the run-up to the trial and stated that he was a paedophile.
