In a stable in Imst

Horse lunged and hit girl (2) on the head

In the presence of her parents, a two-year-old girl began to groom a horse in a stable in Imst (Tyrol) when the animal kicked out with its hind leg and hit the child. 

A two-year-old girl (Austrian) was in the presence of her parents in their horse stable in the district of Imst (Tyrol) on Sunday afternoon. 

At around 5.25 p.m., when the child was standing at the side of the back of the horse and began to brush the animal's leg with a brush, the horse kicked out with one of its hind legs and hit the toddler on the head. 

Child was responsive
The child was responsive and had no obvious injuries, but the parents nevertheless made an emergency call. The girl was taken to Zams Hospital.
