Who will soon face a higher electricity bill

From July, the state will halve the so-called electricity price brake. This means that almost every second household will face a higher electricity bill of up to several hundred euros. The "Krone" therefore took a look at who can expect to pay how much more and what they can do about it.

The electricity cost brake was introduced on December 1, 2022 to ease the burden on households when it comes to energy costs. As electricity is still more expensive than before, this support measure has been extended until the end of 2024.
