For Galeria alone:
Gusenbauer invoices Benko for 12 million
The former chancellor was big business with the financial juggler's group of companies - new excitement surrounding the Benko villa ...
Alfred Gusenbauer has charged his friend René Benko's group of companies higher fees than previously known: The former chancellor submitted invoices totaling twelve million euros to the insolvent Signa Holding for his advice on the bankruptcy of the Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof department store chain alone. According to "News", the five fee notes - submitted by Gusenbauer's project company - are also available to "Krone".
Flying change into the realm of the speculator
Gusenbauer made a flying transition from politics to the realm of the Signa founder. On December 2, 2008, he resigned from the chancellorship, and from February 2009 he was to receive a chancellor's salary from Signa Holding - for an average of one week's work per month.
Gusenbauer has also served for years as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Signa Prime, which is also insolvent, and Signa Development. These activities also pay off. If you add up the many activities for Signa, then the ex-SPÖ chairman has probably scratched the 20 million mark over the years.
Embarrassing mistakes on fee notes
Scurrilous: the former chancellor makes serious mistakes on the first two Galeria fees: he writes "Galleria" instead of Galeria and incorrectly refers to the Economic Stabilization Fund WSF as "WST".
Benko's villa, which belongs to Schlosshotel-Igls-GmbH, is currently causing a stir. It owes the finance company twelve million. The company relocated its headquarters from Vienna to Innsbruck, as Signa Holding once did. Investigations are underway into the background to the relocation of the holding company.
