Tesla recalls 2.2 million vehicles in the USA

Electric car manufacturer Tesla has to repair almost all of its vehicles registered in the USA due to an incorrect font size on the warning lights. The recall affects 2.2 million cars from the S, X, 3 and Y model series as well as the new Cybertruck.

"Warning lights with smaller font sizes can make it difficult to read important safety information on the dashboard," said the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on Friday. There is a higher risk of accidents, it said in the statement.

Several recalls in recent months
The e-car pioneer has begun installing free software updates online to fix the problem. A week ago, Tesla recalled almost 200,000 vehicles due to problems with a display, and two months ago more than two million cars due to changes to Autopilot.
