Cab driver crashes into pedestrian

A 53-year-old female pedestrian was hit and injured by a Turkish cab driver in Salzburg on Thursday. She had to be taken to hospital after receiving emergency medical treatment.

A 28-year-old cab driver was driving his car on Sterneckstraße and turned into Stelzhamerstraße. He hit a 53-year-old woman who was crossing the road at the junction. The pedestrian was thrown onto the hood by the impact and then fell onto the road.

Rescue workers and an emergency doctor were quickly on the scene. After first aid, the injured woman was taken to Salzburg Accident Hospital by the Red Cross with injuries of indeterminate severity.
