Bomb threat received at school in Steyr

And yet again there has been a bomb threat against a school in Upper Austria. This time against the HTL in Steyr. The pupils were initially released from lessons or accommodated in the gym. In the end, no explosive device was found. In the afternoon, the children were back in class.

The threat is said to have been received by email, as the police confirmed in the morning in response to a "Krone" inquiry. The premises of HTL Steyr were then searched as a precautionary measure. However, it was not assumed that there was an acute threat.

No bomb was found. The students were released from lessons until midday and were then able to return to their classes.
