Weinstein to Brody:

“Grateful that my children are loved”

Following Adrien Brody's (51) Oscar acceptance speech, in which he mentioned his partner Georgina Chapman and their two children, Harvey Weinstein (72) has spoken out from prison. 

Weinstein is the father of Chapman's children from their 2007 marriage. British fashion designer Chapman (48) separated from the Hollywood producer after allegations of sexual assault against Weinstein became public in 2017.

In his long speech on the Oscars stage, Brody also mentioned his "wonderful partner Georgina", who had revived his self-esteem. "And her great kids, Dash and India, I know it's been a roller coaster ride, but thank you for accepting me into your lives," Brody said, adding, "Popsy comes home a winner."

Weinstein: "Grateful that my children are loved"
 Weinstein's spokesperson said on Monday, according to US media reports: "Harvey is happy for Georgina and is grateful that his children are loved and cared for as they deserve."

The once-powerful film mogul was sentenced to 23 years in prison for sex offenses in New York in 2020. The sentence was overturned last year and the trial is to be reopened. Weinstein was also convicted of similar offenses in Los Angeles, which is why he is still in prison.

Brody won the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 97th Academy Awards for his role as a Jewish architect in the drama "The Brutalist" by Brady Corbet. Chapman and Brody first appeared together publicly at New York's Tribeca Festival in 2021. According to media reports, they have been a couple for five years. Chapman's daughter India is 14 years old, son Dashiell is 11.
