Earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 in the Tyrolean Oberland

A minor earthquake occurred on Wednesday evening at around 7.30 pm in the Telfs area in the Tyrolean Oberland (Innsbruck-Land district). The earth tremors reached a magnitude of 2.5.

The quake was clearly felt in the immediate vicinity in some places, according to the Austrian earthquake service GeoSphere Austria - Federal Institute for Geology, Geophysics, Climatology and Meteorology.

"No damage to buildings was reported and was not to be expected at this magnitude," it continued.
