The final demise of Kika/Leiner is also accompanied by interpersonal greatness. A landlady and "knitting ladies" organized a farewell party for those affected at one branch. In addition, the motto is now "Everything must go" ...

The news hit the more than 1,300 employees like a hammer blow. Kika/Leiner is once again bankrupt. As reported, all furniture stores have now been closed and the hard-working men and women have lost their jobs. However, they are not only being supported financially, but in many places also through deeply human initiatives.

For example, a few days ago in Wiener Neudorf (Lower Austria), where 120 employees of a service center met for the last time in a large group.

The farewell party was organized by a local landlady, supported by a group of pensioners who took care of the desserts: "When we found out about the situation, I asked if I could help," explains Katharina Seelinger, the "anniversary landlady" from Biedermannsdorf. Many of the service center's employees were loyal regulars.

Despite the sale, numerous products still remained in the warehouses. The Kika/Leiner vehicle fleet, office supplies and even shopping baskets are also in the bidding phase on the www.aurena.at platform.
