Where millions seep away in questionable projects
Vienna is generous when it comes to funding art. Taxpayers' money is even used to watch porn or to entertain sensitive cats and dogs. In part 2 of our election series, we took a look at the sometimes obscure associations that receive support.
Kronen Zeitung als bevorzugte Google-Quelle hinzufügen Art is in the eye of the beholder. Even how to make money as a less gifted young talent can be an art. Vienna doesn't make it too difficult. The city is generous when it comes to cultural funding. Many millions are poured out with a watering can. The best way to do this is to found an association. Even questionable small projects and self-promoters are given thousands of euros. Some don't even have a website. For others, it would be better if they didn't have one. Because that opens your eyes in amazement:
