“Don’t say dad!” Ski ace reveals celebration secret

After his second place in the giant slalom in Schladming, Henrik Kristoffersen presented himself in a good mood and revealed a little celebration secret to ORF man Rainer Pariasek. The 30-year-old knows the cult pub "Tenne" next to the finish stadium very well ... 

When Kristoffersen saw it light up green in the finish area after his second run, he let his emotions run free. He practically shouted them into the Schladming night sky. The fact that he was subsequently pushed into second place by team-mate Alexander Steen Olsen did not dampen his joy. On the contrary, he immediately rushed up to congratulate him.

The 30-year-old maintained his good mood afterwards and appeared relaxed in an interview with ORF's Pariasek. "I made mistakes in the last two giant slaloms. Today was a big step in the right direction," said the Norwegian happily, and to Steen Olsen: "Chapeau! That was a strong performance".

According to Kristoffersen, Schladming is always like a home race for him. After all, the Norwegian lives near Salzburg. "It only takes me 45 minutes to get from home to Schladming. My first apartment was in Ramsau," reveals the ski ace.

At the end of the interview, he let Pariasek in on a secret. "I've been here several times. Even on New Year's Eve with the whole team in the Tenne and so on," says the 30-year-old with a grin, recounting evenings in the cult pub next to the finish area. He jokingly adds: "But please don't tell my dad". You can assume that this little secret is definitely safe ...
