Cycling with a gunshot: 76-year-old caused chaos

A cyclist caused chaos in Salzburg-Itzling on Monday night. The 76-year-old from Salzburg was riding in conspicuous serpentine lines and brought traffic to a standstill in front of the Itzling parish church. A line of vehicles formed behind him, but the man didn't seem to mind.

At around 10.30 p.m. on Monday night, nothing worked at all in Kirchenstraße. The 76-year-old drove with relish from one side of the road to the other. Much to the displeasure of the motorcade that formed behind him.  

The police stopped the obviously drunk man from Salzburg. A breathalyzer test was not possible, but a medical officer determined that he was unfit to drive. The man was prohibited from continuing his journey and will be reported to the police.
