Woman stabs her own brother in an argument

What happened on Sunday evening in Vienna-Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus between a 51-year-old woman and her brother (48) cannot be called a quarrel. In the course of an argument, the older sister probably saw no other way out than to stab the 48-year-old with a knife.

The incident occurred at around 6 p.m. in an apartment building in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus. According to the Vienna police, it was the suspect herself who called the emergency services. 

Victim taken to hospital immediately
When the officers entered the house together with the 51-year-old woman, they came across the brother covered in blood. The injured man was immediately given emergency medical treatment by the Vienna Emergency Services and taken to hospital. There is no danger to life.

Sister had around one blood alcohol level
The knife was recovered by the investigators in the apartment. The woman had to undergo a breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol level of just under one per mille. The 51-year-old was then taken to a prison. The exact reason why the woman finally reached for the knife is still under investigation.
