Drunk driver ignored police patrol’s blue lights

A drunk driver from Seeham ignored several attempts by the police to stop him on Saturday evening. He was stopped after two kilometers. Officers also had to pull several drivers out of traffic in the city of Salzburg.

The police patrol noticed the unsafe driving style of the car driver. The driver was driving in serpentine lines at around 9 p.m. and repeatedly drove into oncoming traffic. The driver even ignored the blue lights that were switched on at first and showed no reaction.

It was only after almost two kilometers that the police patrol was able to stop the car unharmed. During the traffic check, the police officers immediately noticed signs of alcoholization. A breathalyzer test on the 58-year-old driver from Seeham showed 2.08 per mille.

The driver's license was confiscated on the spot and he was prohibited from continuing to drive. He will be reported to the police.

Alcohol and drugs at the wheel
In the city of Salzburg on Saturday, the police arrested several drivers for various offenses. A 30-year-old man from Salzburg was driving without a license. A Malian citizen was driving with 0.98 per mille alcohol. Both were reported to the police.

The police in the provincial capital also pulled a young driver from Pinzgau out of circulation for drugs. The 24-year-old was also carrying a small amount of narcotics. After a quick test, he had to go to the UKH for a clinical examination. He was found to be unfit to drive. He faces several charges and the loss of his driver's license.
