81-year-old saw burglars jumping through the window

Burglars are increasingly using twilight and the absence of residents to gain money and valuables by criminal means. A woman from Klagenfurt saw a burglar jump out of her window and run away when she came home!

When a Klagenfurt homeowner (81) came home shortly before 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening, she saw a burglar jump out of her ground-floor window, which had previously been broken open from the outside, and run away. He had rummaged through cupboards and cabinets and stolen her jewelry. A manhunt was unsuccessful. The perpetrator is gone - for the time being.

Breaking in via the patio door
Also on Wednesday - between 4.15 pm and 7.15 pm - an unknown person broke into a detached house in the municipality of Poggersdorf via the patio door. He rummaged through all the cupboards in the house. Further criminal investigations are currently underway to determine whether anything was stolen and the total damage.

Owners on vacation, burglars active
While the owners were abroad, unknown persons broke into a house in Steindorf between Sunday and Wednesday and rummaged through cupboards. The break-in was noticed and reported by the 38-year-old son of the owners. It is not yet clear what was stolen and how much the total loss is.
