Crash between car and truck: both drivers injured

In Pischelsdorf (Styria) on Wednesday, a 21-year-old car driver collided with a truck driver (32) for unknown reasons. The man was only slightly injured, but the woman was seriously injured and taken to the LKH.

There was a crash on the LB 54 on Wednesday morning: at around 6.30 a.m., a 21-year-old Styrian woman was driving her car in the direction of Pischelsdorf when a head-on collision with a truck occurred for unknown reasons. Behind the wheel was a 32-year-old Hungarian man who suffered minor injuries in the collision.

Longer waiting times in traffic
However, the woman sustained serious injuries and had to be taken to Graz Regional Hospital as quickly as possible. The 32-year-old man was taken to hospital in Hartberg. The rush hour traffic then caused long waiting times. Emergency services from the Pischelsdorf and Hirnsdorf volunteer fire departments carried out the vehicle recovery.

In a Facebook post, the Pischelsdorf fire department praised the first responders: "An employee of an energy supplier and a firefighter in civilian clothes secured the scene of the accident in an exemplary manner, were able to help the injured person out of the vehicle and provided perfect first aid until the emergency services arrived."
