96-year-old pedestrian hit by small truck

A 96-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured after being knocked to the ground by a small truck in Klagenfurt.

A 96-year-old pedestrian from Klagenfurt was dressed in dark clothing when he tried to cross the road in St. Ruprechter Straße shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening.  

A 36-year-old driver from Klagenfurt did not notice the man in time and hit him with his small truck.

The pedestrian was thrown to the ground in the collision and suffered serious injuries. After first aid, he was taken to Klagenfurt Hospital by the ambulance service. The small truck was seized by order of the public prosecutor's office.
