Gorge tunnel into the Gastein Valley becomes even safer

The Klammtunnel is being renovated: The work will start next week (December 2) and is expected to last until mid-December. One lane will remain open. There will be traffic lights. 

All traffic flows into the Gastein Valley via the Klammtunnel. The section of road is now being renovated. Parts of the safety infrastructure have to be renewed. The aluminum fronts of the emergency call niches, for example, are no longer up to date. The fire extinguishing niches are also being rebuilt. 

Around 340,000 euros will be invested. During the construction phase, the tunnel will be open to single-lane traffic with traffic lights from 8 am to 8 pm.
