Political scandal over photo

Tempers are running high in the current political scandal surrounding the well-known hunting photo with Tyrol's SPÖ leader Georg Dornauer and René Benko. In a krone.tv opinion poll, citizens gave free rein to their feelings: "It's a joke that a bankrupt can even invite someone like that to a hunt. Apparently this kind of thing only happens here in Austria."

For many, it is incomprehensible that Dornauer remains in politics, even though the pressure is growing.

One citizen was particularly vocal and urged Dornauer to resign: "After all this, he should get out of politics altogether. Above all, he is going hunting with René Benko. He has fooled the Austrians and the Germans so far!" She is certain that Dornauer should leave politics in order to regain the trust of the citizens.

But there are also those who view the whole thing with a touch of skepticism. "So many truths become untruths and untruths become truths. You really don't know what's going on," says Luisa. Another, on the other hand, took the decision with humor: "It's a funny photo and the arguments and replicas that Mr. Dornauer and his entourage give are particularly interesting."
