Burglars broke in through a window at dusk

Burglars took advantage of a tilted bedroom window in Bad Hall and broke into an apartment between 4.45 and 5.15 p.m. on Tuesday. And they did so even though the apartment is right next to a street and the neighbors were at home.

"There are nine parties in the house, seven of which had their lights on. What's more, we're almost in the middle of the city and a road runs right past. We would never have expected something like this," says the robbed Cornelia H. (83), who is furious and now wants to warn others about twilight burglars. "The perpetrators must have had a climbing aid, the window is two meters high," says H.

Third burglary in the area
This is believed to be the third break-in in the area in recent weeks. On one occasion, the homeowners were at a wedding. Cornelia H. thinks it could be a professional gang. "Around 12,000 euros worth of jewelry and cash are missing. We already had the Christmas money for the grandchildren at home," says the victim.

What hurts even more are the personal losses: "A necklace that my dad gave my mom as a wedding present in 1938 is also missing."
