Thief offered the loot to his victim for sale!

Tool thieves usually sell their loot. But if the potential buyer is the victim, the theft is discovered. A 35-year-old man from the St. Veit district was in trouble.

A gardening tool was stolen from the car of a man from Klagenfurt (21) in the city area of the provincial capital on Tuesday afternoon. Shortly afterwards, he was approached by a man: And the very tool that had been stolen earlier was offered to him for sale! The seller had several high-priced tools to choose from.

The victim of the theft alerted the police. The officers were able to track down the thief and recover the loot. A report to the public prosecutor's office followed.
