Truck driver injured by shattered glass in accident

An accident between two trucks on the Fernpass road in Tyrol on Thursday evening ended with injuries to the face and head for a truck driver (39). However, the second truck driver simply drove on.

Shortly before 7 p.m., the 39-year-old Ukrainian was driving his truck on the B179 heading south when he and an oncoming truck collided with the wing mirrors. "The collision shattered the side window of the Ukrainian driver's cab. The man was injured in the face and head area by the glass splinters," said the police.

Ukrainian continued driving despite injuries
The second driver continued his journey without stopping at the scene of the accident. A search launched immediately in cooperation with the German police was unsuccessful. The injured man received first aid at the scene of the accident and continued his journey at his express wish.
