Trio spat at and threatened with a knife in Innsbruck

Excitement in the middle of Innsbruck on Sunday afternoon! Three Germans living in Tyrol were first spat at several times by an unknown man and then threatened with a knife. The police are now looking for witnesses.

The unpleasant incident took place on Sunday at around 3.40 pm in the area of the Fallmerayerstrasse/Anichstrasse junction in Innsbruck. For reasons as yet unknown, the three Germans aged between 21 and 25 living in Innsbruck were spat at and threatened with a knife by the unknown man.

Search without success
"According to the victims, the perpetrator took the knife from a paper bag he was carrying", the police said. When the man ran towards them with the knife in his hand, the trio fled. "The search that was immediately launched in the area of the crime scene was unsuccessful," said the police.

The previously unknown perpetrator is around 50 years old and around 1.80 meters tall with light skin, short grey hair and an unkempt appearance. He was wearing light-colored jeans and a light-colored long-sleeved cardigan.
