Oscar winner Cate Blanchett turned the Vienna Hofburg into a stage - not for filming, however, but for her great passion outside of acting. The actress just missed the premiere of her new film "Rumors" at the Viennale. 

It's only logical that Hollywood superstar Cate Blanchett is in the Austrian capital when the Viennale is taking place at the same time, but it's also pure coincidence - even if her new film "Rumors" will be shown there in two days' time. The two-time Oscar winner will just miss the premiere, but last night she added a little glamor to the splendour of the Vienna Hofburg.

No, not filming, but the first symposium of the Austrian Society for Sustainable Real Estate Management. There, Blanchett put her great passion outside of acting in the spotlight: sustainable climate solutions.

Speaking of the limelight - the Australian actress tried to avoid it as much as possible away from the stage. She sneaked out of her hotel, the Sacher, through the back entrance to the Hofburg so as not to attract too much attention. An impossibility with a star of her stature.
