‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ star Nicholas Pryor is dead

Actor Nicholas Pryor has died at the age of 89. He was probably one of the busiest supporting actors in the world and was known from the US television series, "Our Little Farm", "The Denver Clan" and "Beverly Hills, 90210", among others.

His wife, actress Christine Belford, announced the sad news. Pryor died of cancer on Monday at his home in Wilmington, North Carolina, she told The Hollywood Reproter.

Pryor, who appeared in around 180 television series and films during his career, was one of Hollywood's busiest supporting actors.I

Grateful for a 70-year career
The statement said: "Nicholas Pryor was enormously grateful to have worked as an actor for almost 70 years."

In addition to "Beverly Hills 2010", where he played the university director Milton Arnold, father of Clare Arnold (Kathleen Robertson), his long list of appearances includes the cult series "Lou Grant", "Knight Rider", "Falcon Crest" and "Who's the Boss", among many others.

In 1983, he played Tom Cruise's father in the comedy "Loose Business". He is survived by a daughter and two grandchildren.
