Social welfare: Vienna will still need more money in 2025

Due to valorization, rent subsidy and the like, the city of Vienna will not be able to make ends meet with the minimum income budget next year either.

The minimum income scheme is blowing up Vienna's budget. As reported, the city urgently needs money to be able to continue financing the social welfare system - this year alone, 214 million euros more (originally planned: 899 million), which means that expenditure will swell to 1.11 billion euros.
