Resident gives chase with thieves

This thieving spree turned out differently than expected. After breaking into the cellar of an apartment building in Saalfelden, the thieves engaged in a chase with a resident. Their loot fell by the wayside. 

On Wednesday night, two previously unknown perpetrators had big plans: they broke into the cellar of an apartment building in Saalfelden. The objects of their desire: e-bikes.

What they hadn't expected: At the time of the crime, shortly after midnight, a resident of the house was still awake. He caught the strangers as they were about to leave the cellar with an e-bike.

The resident then took on the thieves. He pursued the fleeing perpetrators. 

Although the thieves managed to escape, they have no reason to celebrate: they had to leave their loot behind during the chase. And the escape is not over yet. The police are now searching for them at full speed.
