Schmid after victory: “There’s a lot more in it”

Coach Manfred Schmid secured his second win with Hartberg in the second game. "You can see the potential, there's a lot more in it," says the 53-year-old.

TSV Hartberg also won their second game under coach Manfred Schmid. The team from Eastern Styria beat SCR Altach 2:0 (0:0) in the eighth round of the Bundesliga on Sunday to move up to sixth place in the table for the time being. Vorarlberg, who were outnumbered for one half, dropped back to tenth place.

Manfred Schmid (Hartberg coach): "We achieved our goal of picking up six points from the first two games in impressive fashion. It will now be very important to hold talks with the players. You can see the potential, there's a lot more in there. We want to bring that onto the pitch. The final pass has to be a bit more concentrated and precise. We also have to try to become more flexible in our processes."

Joachim Standfest (Altach coach): "We presented ourselves very well in the first half. The very, very harsh exclusion really hurt us. A half with ten men is difficult against a team like Hartberg, who are currently on the upswing. The team didn't really recover from the goal we conceded. It would be important for us to be more determined in attack and more dynamic."
