Motorcyclist’s life in danger after crash

Dramatic accident on Wednesday night in Kainbach (district of Graz-Umgebung): A 29-year-old motorcyclist crashed for unknown reasons and suffered life-threatening injuries. He had to be resuscitated and is now in intensive care.

It was almost midnight when a 29-year-old motorcyclist from Graz was driving on the B 65 (Riesstraße) towards the city center on Wednesday. It is still unclear exactly what happened - but the biker crashed in a fatal manner and suffered life-threatening injuries.

In intensive care
When the Red Cross emergency services arrived, they had to start resuscitation immediately. Fortunately, they were able to bring him back to life and took him to Graz Regional Hospital as quickly as possible. He is now receiving intensive medical care there.

Cause of the accident is being investigated
The police investigation is also ongoing. Based on the evidence available on the carriageway, it can currently be assumed that the accident was not caused by a third party. The section of the B 65 remained completely closed for the duration of the accident investigation.
