Manchester United remained winless at the start of the Europa League. The English record champions only managed a 1-1 draw against Twente Enschede at Old Trafford on Wednesday, with Lazio fans once again making negative headlines.

Hoffenheim also drew 1-1 with Florian Grillitsch and Alexander Prass at Midtjylland, while Stefan Schwab's PAOK Saloniki suffered a 3-1 defeat at Galatasaray. FC Porto suffered a surprising 3-2 defeat away to Bodö/Glimt.

In Manchester, United took the lead through Christian Eriksen (35'), but Sam Lammers (68') equalized for the Dutch side, who failed to qualify for the Champions League against Red Bull Salzburg. Max Moerstadt scored Hoffenheim's goal against Midtjylland in the 89th minute. Grillitsch played through for the Germans, Prass came on in the 60th minute. Schwab was substituted for PAOK in the 77th minute.

Six meatballs
The Lazio fans once again made negative headlines. On the eve of the match in Hamburg against Dynamo Kiev, the police temporarily arrested several fans from the Italian club's entourage until Wednesday morning; among other things, five knives, six meat tenderizers, two wooden slats, a club, a pipe wrench and a spit were found on them. The men were banned from the Volksparkstadion and its immediate surroundings. Lazio won the match 3:0.
