Bitumen boiler burst into flames in underground garage

Dangerous scenes occurred early Friday afternoon in Schwaz, Tyrol. A fire broke out in the underground garage of a building shell during bitumen work, causing heavy smoke. The fire department had to be called out.

The incident occurred at around 1.30 p.m. during bitumen work in the underground garage of a building shell in Schwaz. A fire had broken out in the gas-heated bitumen boiler. The Schwaz fire department had to attend and brought the boiler outside, where it was extinguished. 

The garage was then ventilated. According to the police, there was no damage to property and no people were injured.
