Leaders Austria drop points for the first time

After six wins in a row, Salzburg's Austria had to settle for a draw in the Regionalliga West. Despite taking a 2-0 lead at home against Reichenau, they were unable to get past 2-2. Meanwhile, Grünau suffered their next defeat with a 1-0 loss at Imst. Kuchl's game in Dornbirn was called off.

In difficult pitch conditions, everything initially went according to plan at the Max Aicher Stadium. Zottl gave the league leaders the lead after a clearance and captain Zia added a header. They went into the break with a 2:0 lead.

However, the Tyroleans came back because the favorites failed to make it 3:0. The hosts' defense did not look good when they conceded both goals. "We really helped out there," said coach Schaider, who added: "You shouldn't give up a 2-0 lead."

Five games without a win

Grünau suffered their next defeat. The Walsers lost 1:0 to top team Imst, with Prantl scoring the winning goal. Coach Knaus' team have now gone five games without a win.

Kuchl's game in Dornbirn was called off on Saturday morning. Bischofshofen's clash with Hohenems had already been postponed on Friday.
