This week continues with great festivities in Vienna - architectural gems open their doors, the latest e-cars can be tested and the Jedi Knights are on their way.

Once again, September proves to be a month of festivals, events and happenings in Vienna. After the busy weekend, the action continues right away:

• Open House: 55 buildings - from fascinating new architectural projects to rare Art Nouveau jewels - are waiting to be discovered from September 14 to 15. This time, the focus is on wooden buildings, open spaces and the re-use of former business premises. The Kipferlhaus behind St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Boku water laboratory on Brigittenauer Sporn, Vienna's tallest wooden high-rise in Seestadt Aspern, Adolf Loos' bridge club in the city center, the Waldorf School in Mauer and much more await visitors. • If you are considering buying an electric car or electric two-wheeler, Heldenplatz is the place to be from September 11 to 15. Get in, test drive, check out the charging options: With free admission, the Electric Days focus on the mobility revolution. Information at: wiener-elektrotage.at

• "Star Wars" in the Bohemian Prater in Favoriten: The costume clubs 501st Legion Austrian Garrison and Rebel Legion Alpine Base Austria invite you to a lightsaber fight, parade, face painting for children and photo opportunities with your favorite characters from 11 am to 5 pm. Admission is free, but donations are requested. The money collected will be donated to the St. Anna Children's Hospital.
