House in flames – two lifeless persons found

A terrible accident in a detached house in the district of Oberwart in southern Burgenland! A cigarette had started a fire there on Saturday morning. The emergency services had to rescue two lifeless people from the house. 

The fire investigators were able to determine that a cigarette had started the fire, according to the Burgenland Provincial Police Directorate on Monday. During the fire in the morning hours, the fire department had to rescue two lifeless people from the house.

The two victims were father and son. For the 47-year-old, all help came too late, the 79-year-old was flown to hospital by emergency helicopter.
