Kosovo turmoil: Foda kicks out three players

Kosovo's national team is in turmoil: Former ÖFB team manager Franco Foda, who has been coach of Kosovo for six months, has suspended three players ahead of the Nations League match against Cyprus.

The reason was "the violation of rules laid down by the association", according to a short statement.

In the nightclub until two o'clock?
According to Kosovan media, Edon Zhegrova, Arijanet Muric and Florent Muslija allegedly left the team camp without permission on Sunday night and enjoyed themselves in a nightclub until two o'clock.

Zhegrova defended himself against the accusations via Instagram and spoke of "fake news". He would give the answer on the pitch, he wrote. Keeper Muric defended himself by saying that the trio had been at the club for the food and not the party ...
