Tunnel construction site starts again: speed brake coming

The construction site on the A10 starts in the fall: Asfinag, the state, municipalities and mobility partners have now put together a package of measures to reduce traffic jams. At the heart of the package is a speed reduction to improve traffic flow.

From Kuchl, a speed limit of 100 km/h will apply permanently during the roadworks. On busy travel days, a speed limit of 100 km/h will be imposed from Puch/Urstein, with only 80 km/h permitted from Kuchl. In addition, digital traffic information will be expanded and public transport will be further accelerated.

The final phase of the renovation of the Ofenauer and Hiefler tunnels and the Werfen tunnel chain on the A10 will last from September 10, 2024 to the end of June 2025.
