Harington is “terrified every night” of a nude scene

Kit Harington naked on stage - you can see it night after night in London's West End. But what is a pleasure for the fans is simply a horror for the Brit, as he has now revealed.

In the West End show "Slave Play", which also features Denzel Washington's daughter Olivia Washington, Kit Harington has to strip down on stage. But it's not so easy for the former "Game of Thrones" star, as he revealed on Lorraine Kelly's talk show.

"I'm scared every night"
"I thought it would be liberating, but it turns out it's not. Every night I'm scared. Every single night, really," laughed the actor.

And went on to reveal that his mom was quite surprised when he explained to her that he would have to strip stark naked on stage. "Oh, really," she replied.

To which he replied: "Mum, you've seen it all before." But she then just said: "Yes, but not for a few years, darling."

No "frivolous nude scenes"
Nude scenes are never easy, Harington continued. "Nudity is really one of those things that you have to be sure there's a reason for it. And it's not done lightly. Otherwise you feel exposed in the wrong way. And I think it's very important and necessary at this point in the show where it comes in."

Kit Harington's nude scene has made headlines before. As the Daily Mail reported, stickers for cell phone cameras were distributed at the performance to prevent fans from snapping unauthorized photos of the stark naked actor and posting them online. Penalties have even been threatened for those audience members who take pictures during the performance.
