Car driver (66) rear-ended biker (61) in convoy

Nasty accident on Saturday morning in Musau in the Tyrolean Außerfern! A 61-year-old motorcyclist from Germany rode his bike slowly past a convoy of vehicles. As he drove past the car of a fellow countryman (66), the car suddenly swerved to the left and cleared the man.

At around 9.40 a.m., the 61-year-old was riding his motorcycle on the Fernpass road in Musau. According to the police, he drove slowly past a line of vehicles. However, this ended when he passed the car of a 66-year-old German woman.

The man suddenly swerved to the left and wanted to turn his vehicle around. In doing so, he collided with the approaching 61-year-old, who was unable to stop in time despite initiating a braking maneuver.

Rescue to hospital
After first aid, the motorcyclist was taken to hospital in Reutte by ambulance. He was seriously injured. The driver of the car was uninjured. Both vehicles were severely damaged.
