Laura Stigger tenth in short track at World Championships

Mountain biker Laura Stigger has finished tenth in the short track at the World Championships in Andorra. The Tyrolean was 44 seconds behind the British winner Evie Richards, who beat defending champion Pauline Ferrand-Prevot (FRA) in the final sprint.

The men's title went to Frenchman Victor Koretzky, there were no ÖRV riders at the start. In the junior women's cross country, 16-year-old Styrian Antonia Grangl impressed with seventh place in her World Championship debut.

The elite races in the Olympic discipline will start on Sunday.
