Manhunt hit during routine check at the border

A 48-year-old man from Poland was apprehended at the Gaißau border crossing on Saturday morning as part of a routine check while attempting to leave Austria. 

A European arrest warrant was issued for him. In the course of the check, it became known that the man from Poland was wanted throughout Europe for various offenses in his home country via an arrest warrant.

After the check and processing by the Dornbirn Aliens Police Department, he was transferred to the Feldkirch prison by order of the Feldkirch public prosecutor's office. The man still has an outstanding prison sentence of eleven months and twelve days to serve.
