This is not the first time that unknown perpetrators have used corrosive acid to carry out break-ins. But the incidents in Vienna are currently on the increase again. The police warn! Nitric acid should not be touched, otherwise there is a risk of burns to the skin, respiratory tract and mucous membranes. 

The modus operandi is well known to the Vienna police: Criminals use corrosive acid to gain access to apartments (see photos above). The police are once again investigating the perpetrators at full speed. 

Neutralize the body with clear water!
The chemicals used for burglary may be nitric acid. This can have a corrosive effect on the skin, respiratory tract and mucous membranes. "If you accidentally come into contact with the liquid, neutralize the area immediately with clean water," recommends the Vienna police. Soap or other additives should not be used! 

In addition, the police call 133 immediately.
