“Kill Bill” star Michael Madsen in custody

"Kill Bill" star Michael Madsen (66) has been taken into custody in California over allegations of domestic violence. 

Investigators were called to Malibu at the weekend because of a family dispute, according to a police statement published by "Entertainment Weekly".

The wife claimed that she had been forced out of the house by her husband and locked out. Madsen was taken to the police station.

"Disagreement"
Madsen and his wife DeAnna Madsen (64) had a "disagreement", the actor's spokesperson said on Monday (local time), according to Variety. They hoped that the couple would resolve the conflict amicably.

After paying bail in the amount of 20,000 dollars (around 18,000 euros), Madsen was released. The couple have been married since 1996.

Often plays the villain
The actor, who often plays villains, is best known for his collaboration with director Quentin Tarantino. He appeared in his films "Reservoir Dogs", "Kill Bill", "The Hateful Eight" and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood", among others.

He also had roles in "Thelma & Louise", "Wyatt Earp - The Life of a Legend", "By Their Own Rules" and "James Bond 007 - Die Another Day".
