Driver refused to take a breathalyzer test after accident

A 32-year-old Croatian caused an accident in Abtenau on Sunday evening. He protested against a breathalyzer test. He will be reported to the police. His car is wrecked after the incident. 

The Croatian's mad dash ended on Sunday in Abtenau: he hit two trees with his car and then skidded around 30 meters through the road shoulder. He did not sustain any injuries. No other people were involved in the accident.

Cigarettes lit despite request
A breathalyzer test finally revealed a level of around one per mille. However, the man refused to take a breathalyzer test. He also ignored the police officers' request not to smoke and lit a cigarette twice. 

The 32-year-old will now be charged. He had to surrender his driver's license on the spot. His car is a total loss.
